Sidney has over 30 years of experience as a psychiatric clinical nurse specialist in both private and state hospitals and outpatient facilities. She taught psychiatric nursing at Delaware Technical and Community College and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She also has a background in medical-surgical and ICU nursing and served in a nursing and counseling capacity with JAARS Inc., the technical-support arm of Wycliffe Bible Translators. In addition to overseeing client care at El Rophe, Sidney conducts individual, marital and family counseling with empathy and warmth, interweaving Scriptural principles with therapeutic techniques. A gifted communicator, she writes mental health literature, conducts seminars on psychological and Biblical topics, and hosts Journey to Wholeness, El Rophe's daily radio program. Hamp's strong blend of Scripture application and empathy is an effective combination in addressing his clients' needs. He provides therapy for marital problems, relationship difficulties, and family and parenting issues. Anxiety and mood disorders, unresolved issues from individuals' past, and difficult transitions in life impact many lives, and he counsels individuals, couples and families. Brenda comes from a background in education, coaching high school sports for 18 years. She also functioned as the youth director at her church. She brings to the El Rophe Center a wide range of experience from the public sector while counseling with individuals, couples and families. Terri's background in Bible teaching and mentoring adults and young people establishes the basis for her counseling ministry. She enjoys working with adolescents and adults of all ages, guiding them toward emotional maturity and healthy functioning in all areas of their lives. Terri counsels individuals, couples and families who are dealing with a variety of mental health, relationship or parenting issues. Additionally she leads small groups of adolescents and adults.
